For almost 12 months we’ve been hard at work planning the biggest Lead Dev conference to date and are incredibly excited about the programme we’ve developed for our community.

We have been monitoring the current COVID-19 outbreak very closely and making contingency plans to ensure the safety of our attendees. With events accelerating so quickly in Europe we have now taken the decision that our community will be safer if we do not gather together in June.

Given the uncertainty of how the situation will develop in the months ahead, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the conference to 1 & 2 February 2021.

We believe this will give us all the best chance to experience a safe and enjoyable conference.

This also means that the workshops and the Manager of Managers event we had scheduled around the London 2020 conference will be postponed. The new dates for these are still being confirmed and will be communicated to all those involved as soon as we have more information.

We know many of you are involved in your own company’s response plans and we offer our well wishes for success in coping with this challenging time.

We appreciate your patience as the situation has evolved and really look forward to seeing you at Lead Dev London in February 2021.

When and where will the postponed conference take place?

The Lead Dev London conference is postponed to 1 & 2 February 2021. The conference venue remains the same.

I have a ticket to the London conference, what happens now?

We’ve contacted all ticket holders and the people who placed the order. We’ll automatically transfer your ticket to the new date, but if this doesn’t work for you we can offer you the following options:

  • Transfer your tickets to a friend or colleague
  • Transfer your ticket to one of our 2020 conferences
  • Transfer your ticket as a credit to the next Lead Dev London

All standard ticket terms and conditions apply to the new date.

If you’d like to transfer to another conference, please email us at [email protected], we will process the request within 30 days.

I would like to buy conference tickets for the February dates, how do I do that?

Just head to our tickets page where you can purchase conference and workshop tickets for you and your team.

I had flights and accommodation booked for the June conference dates, what are my options?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to help with the travel and accommodation costs that are affected by the conference dates move. The best option would be to see if the flight/hotel providers are open to rescheduling the dates as well. Alternatively, you could recover costs via your travel insurance.

I am attending one of the workshops held around the conference, are they getting delayed as well?

Yes, we are moving all of the June workshops as well. The exact dates will be announced soon and we’ll send you an email with more details when we have more information. If you can’t attend the new date, you can transfer tickets to your friend or colleague, or transfer to another workshop. All standard ticket terms and conditions will apply to the new date.

Will other Lead Dev conferences be postponed?

As the COVID-19 situation unfolds we are following the advice of relevant national governments and local health authorities. Lead Dev New York has been postponed from April to August and you can read more about that here. We are also postponing our new Manager of Managers event and you can find out more on the website.

Lead Dev San Francisco is currently proceeding as planned with additional safety precautions and our senior team and board are meeting daily to appraise the situation. If anything changes, the attendees will be contacted.

Lead Dev Berlin is scheduled to take place in December 2020, and currently proceeding as planned. We will communicate the conference launch updates later this spring.
